Our commitment to GDPR
The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) went into effect on May 25, 2018 and affects all organizations that deal with data of European users.
GDPR is designed to give control to citizens and residents over their personal data and simplifies the regulatory environment within the EU.
Data privacy has always been a core tenant of Ryver’s internal policies and core values. In fact, as we reviewed the necessary changes to our Privacy Policy, we found that we were already very much in line with the sentiments of Privacy Shield, and only needed to make minor adjustments to explicitly recognize the intent of EU-US Privacy Shield certification.
This document highlights steps that we have taken to comply with GDPR:
- Provided a direct email contact for any GDPR or Privacy Shield questions: You can reach out to Jeff Hershauer at privacyshield@ryver.com.
- EU-US Privacy Shield certification: Application submitted and approved.
- Updated Privacy Policy: Visit https://ryver.com/privacy-policy to see our updates that include EU-US Privacy Shield sections.
- Established a procedure for removing personal information: Any Ryver user can now contact us at privacyshield@ryver.com to have any personal information removed from their user profile in any Ryver organization they belong(ed) to.
