Ryver and the Entrepreneur

Just a quick post.  I just answered some questions posed to me in an email from a young entrepreneur in Mexico.  I thought you might enjoy the Q&A.

Hello Pat, I hope you are well.

I would like to have your vision about this topic. As I mentioned I’m writing an article about the available technologies helping millennials to develop startups.

1. How Ryver can help millennials to develop startups?

I’ve started and run companies for the last 30 years. After using Ryver the last year or so, I can’t imagine starting or running a company without something like it.  Email is simply too slow. Your most important emails get buried alongside less important and even totally unimportant ones.  With the complexity of today’s world, speed is very important.  I like to say, “I want to close a sale before my competitor even knows there is an opportunity.”  The speed of the flow of information is critical to success.  This is natural for most millennials as they prefer instant messaging to email.   More on this.

2. What value they can get working with Ryver?

Insight into areas of the company they would normally be in the dark about.  I can follow what is going on using Ryver but with email I would have to demand to be on the distribution list of everyone’s emails.  That can’t be done.  More on this.

3. What other benefits offers Ryver to entrepreneur millennials?

When you hire someone new they can get up to speed very fast since they can go to the Teams they are now a part of and read what has happened and been discussed going back as far as they want.  Try to do that with email!!

4. How they can integrate Ryver into their business strategies?

Customers!  Most users of chat products only use them in a very small little group like product development.  The best way to use Ryver is to push it out to every stakeholder especially your customers.  Why should email be the standard way to communicate with customers? Using email says “we are just like all our competitors… SLOW!  You are so important to us we use Ryver so we can serve you the best way possible!”  Ryver never makes you ask yourself, “do I want to pay to add this user?”  You just do it!   More on this.

5.- Something else you want to share due your experience as entrepreneur?

There is almost ALWAYS a way.  Dogged persistence and tenacity almost always lead to an answer even if it’s something totally unexpected.  I once had an investor say the reason he invested in ACT! was that he knew my partner and I would turn the company into an oil company in order to succeed.
